Inspirational Card Sketch 13
My first go at this challenge. The sketch was great to work with especially with the help of the fabulous DT works of art. Go here to have a look for yourselves! Will definitely be taking part in this one again.
I started with a 4 "circular card and then cut some 2 " circles of paper and attached them around the card front to form the petals, then stuck a 4 " circle of matching paper on top to form the flower centre. I used K and Co papers bits and bobs from my stash and lots of hand stitching. Thanks for looking x

More shabby than chic!
The colour create challenge this week is black, white and pink. The most challenging aspect this week for me was my cuttlebug, the B plates are so bowed they weren't embossing or cutting evenly. So after the card was thrown across the room a couple of times I eventually came up with this...
I was trying to achieve the 'shabby chic' look, but as the title of the post hints at, I'm not too happy with the result. New 'B' plates are on order so I should be a lot happier next week! Thanks for looking x

Basic Grey Challenge 31 - Paper Piecing!
The Basic Grey challenge this week is 'Paper Piecing!'. I used a tulip paper piecing pattern from here. The sentiment is wishful thinking on my part as I planted some tulip bulbs exactly this colour and I'm hoping they will 'bloom' this spring, and aren't ravaged by the squirrels like last year!

Basic Grey Challenge 30 - choc soft centres
take inspiration from your favourite Chocolates :), so say your favourite chocolate is Mint chocolate, well you could then base the colours of your card on this so your card would be Brown and Green :)
I've made a wedding anniversary card inspired by one! of my favourite chocolate soft centres - coconut!
I've used Offbeat papers, Bazzil Basics die cut border, Cuttlebug script embossing folder American Crafts felt heart and hand stitiching, thanks for looking x

DCM - Feeling Fruity
The dare this week over on the Daring Cardmakers blog is ..."to put a piece of fruit on your card"
I think I may be stretching it bit but that is a cherry on top of the cupcake!

Basic Grey Challenge 29 - Spring
The Basic Grey challenge this week is to create a card with a Spring/Easter theme, check out the DT cards they're stunning.
I used Basic Grey Offbeat papers and tried not to play it safe on this one - as I usually do - and really moved outside my comfort zone by using....
- 4 different designer papers!
- a hand written sentiment!
- my own hand made topper!
- inked stitches!
These are things I wouldn't have contemplated a few months back, and you know what I 'm more than pleased with the result!
The bird was made from felt using a template I made from a clip art image. The flower was made with a cuttlebug die.

Raspberry Ribbons Sketch 18
Been catching up on housework this week :( so not much time for crafting but made time for this one - another great sketch over at Raspberry Ribbons, can't believe it's a fortnight since the last one.
I used the free download (no longer available) from Patti Picklicious Printables range, the CD is out now and looks stunning might just have to treat myself (again)! Check out the gorgeous DT cards on the blog, well worth a look.
